MODEL 30 Mk. 2

Available in three versions and multiple finishes, the Model 30 Mk. 2’s split-level Suspended Suspension System with fluid column dampers is designed to effortlessly eliminate resonance and isolate the tonearm from the motor and platter systems, making the Model 30 Mk. 2 an ideal way to play vinyl. The massive aluminum alloy platter and sub-platter assembly are combined with a diamond-turned iso-damp mat that not only damps platter resonances, but the machining of the iso-damp layer raises tiny fibers that interface with the vinyl record to create the ideal mating of record and platter assembly. On the far side of the ’table sits the venerable SME Series V tonearm, internally wired with Mono-Crystal Silver and available in either 9” or 12” versions, while drive comes from SME’s most advanced synchronous motor system to date.

Available with or without a tonearm, in 75^th anniversary Diamond Finish, with gold accents, or in SME’s traditional elegant black, the Model 30 Mk. 2 is the culmination of more than 60 years of development and well worthy of its international acclaim as the world’s reference turntable.
