MODEL 6

The philosophy behind the Model 6 is the same as every SME turntable, though implemented in a way that maximizes value without sacrificing class-leading performance. While there are some reductions in weight, a CNC machined chassis made from a unique high-density polymer resin provides high mass, a small footprint, and superb resonance absorption, and the main bearing, spindle, and drive pulleys are precision made to the same exacting standards as all SME turntables. A new, highly sophisticated electronic speed control unit provides fine pitch speed adjustment within a wide band range.

For tonearms, there are two variations of the Model 6: the Model 6, incorporating an improved version of the highly acclaimed SME M2-9 tonearm, damped with a unique single element balance system, and the Model 6 Classic, taking advantage of the masterful M2-9R J-shaped tonearm with tungsten balance weights.

Whichever version you choose, the Model 6 is a refined workhorse turntable ready for home, office, a dedicated sound room, or anywhere else you love to hear your records sound their best.
