The NEW Modular Series

Upgraded revision of the popular Modular series of equipment racks, platforms, and amplifier stands from Franc Audio Accessories, their most accessible line of audio furniture products.

Their entry-level series, Modular is comprised of three tiers: Modular Basic, Modular Max, and Modular Max+.

Revisions to the Modular product range were based on three key goals: increasing structural stability, lowering mechanical resonance, and lowering retail costs, while still maintaining the custom configuration and adaptability of the previous Modular racks.

Hand Finished Shelves

CNC machined shelves with a thickness of 50 [mm] (with an additional anti-vibration layer made of carbon fiber in the carbon version).

650×550[mm] large usable area – can accommodate any audio equipment available in over a 100 different matte or high gloss hand finished wooden veneers or as painted matte or high gloss in all RAL colors.

Strong and stiff shelves for small and extra large loads. Resulting in the best reduction of unwanted resonances and vibration control in the big mass of the shelf and carbon fiber sheets.

On the top for the best quenching of resonances (in Modular carbon only).

Carbon Fiber or Aluminum Connectors

Extremely strong and stiff shelving support-connectors made of 12[mm] thick high grade solid aluminum bars or carbon fiber (in Modular carbon only).

Black matte carbon fiber or textured paint as finishing (other on request) diffusion purposes, easy cleaning and protection against finger prints, control of unwanted resonances and reduction of vibrations with carbon fiber and aluminum.

Strong, stiff construction for small to large loads.

Carbon Fiber or Aluminum Legs

High quality strong carbon fiber pipes (in Max carbon only) or aluminum black painted pipes (non-carbon fiber version).

Length of pipes can be customized on request black matte carbon fiber as standard (in Max carbon only) or textured black paint (other colors on request).

Easy cleaning and protection against fingerprints and strong construction for small and heavy loads provide reduction of vibrations with carbon fiber and aluminum.

Adjustable Spike Housing

4 CNC machined black anodized aluminum housings with hard spikes allow for easy and precise leveling of the rack or each platform separately (in Max+ model).

Separation and reduction of unwanted resonances and vibrations from the floor.

Extremely strong construction for small and large loads.

4 CNC-machined black-anodized aluminum pads provide elegant support for the spikes as well as additionally reducing unwanted resonances and protect the floor from scratching.

Any Franc Audio Accessories ceramic feet can be installed instead of pads providing even better separation and control of unwanted vibrations.

Easy leveling of the entire rack.

Modular Max or Modular Max+

Modular Max+ allow stacking of each shelf separately on another or use as single platforms while Modular Max is secured by attaching with screws.

Modular Max can be easily transformed at any time to Max+ with an available upgrade kit. Kits are available separately.

MODULAR BASIC

The Modular Basic line is Franc’s most accessible series of racks and platforms, built on standardized finishes and simple construction. Available finished only in matte black and taking advantage of corner posts and feet that bolt into each shelf to secure the structure, Modular Basic offers a rack system that can grow with the addition of more shelves (both vertically and horizontally) to adapt to the needs of the owner’s system over time. Each shelf is 650mm (25.6”) wide and 520mm (20.5”) deep. Optional non-resonant MBAP platforms are available to place atop the shelves for further isolation. Each leg is terminated as standard with a precision machined CNC spike to anchor the rack or platform to the floor and a small, machined aluminum protective puck available to place under the spikes to protect flooring finishes. Multiple levels of optional isolation footers are available to replace the spikes for even higher levels of isolation performance.

MODULAR MAX

The Modular Max models are an extension of the Modular Basic range, increasing shelf thickness to 50mm (2.0”) and adding brackets to the corner of each shelf with a rubber isolator between the location where the shelf and frame are bolted together to offer an additional layer of vibration isolation. Additional options of nearly limitless matte or high-gloss paint colors and matte or high-gloss real wood veneers to customize the shelf finish. Further customization options include the availability of a Carbon package that adds carbon fiber posts and legs as well as an additional layer of carbon fiber resonance damping inlaid into the top surface of each shelf and the availability of upgraded feet to replace the standard spikes.

MODULAR MAX+

Modular Max+ are the highest performing models of racks and platforms available within the Modular range, offering the highest level of vibration isolation in the series. Modular Max+ converts the bolted together frame system of the Max line to a system of spikes and cups between each shelf tier and the shelf or platform below it. As with the Max products, Max+ offers the options of practically limitless matte or high-gloss paint colors and matte or high-gloss custom wood veneers, the availability of the Carbon, and the ability to add upgraded feet to replace the standard flooring spikes.
